Attorneys
When you become an attorney at RDM, you’ll work with top-tier litigators and trial attorneys who have decades of experience and deep knowledge of the industries we serve. Our attorneys quickly immerse themselves in litigation and rapidly gain experience and develop their skillsets, scientific knowledge, and industry expertise.
Potential attorney candidates should be prepared to take on a wide array of duties, including researching cases, interviewing witnesses, taking and defending depositions, preparing motions and pleadings, and investigating and developing defenses. Attorneys will appear in court for dockets and trials. Travel may be required for court appearances and depositions. Applicants should be admitted to the bar in Missouri and/or Illinois or be able to acquire licensure as soon as possible.

Associate Attorney
Kansas City, Missouri

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney with 5–7 years of experience, specializing in insurance defense and coverage opinions, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance law, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including preparing and arguing motions, attending depositions and hearings, and handling discovery.
- Provide comprehensive legal opinions on insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in insurance law and regulations.
- Participate in case strategy development and offer innovative solutions to complex legal issues.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice law in Missouri.
- 5-7 years of experience in insurance defense and coverage opinions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in trial preparation and litigation.
- Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods.
