Emily was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended St. Teresa’s Academy and excelled as a student-athlete, playing soccer and basketball. Emily then attended Columbia College in Columbia, Mo., and immersed herself in the community there. She served as President of the Mock Trial team, was Staff Editor for the Columbia College Literary Review, served on the Student Government Association, and worked in the Student Affairs office. Emily also gave the commencement speech for her graduating class in Spring 2018.

After completing her undergraduate work and departing for William & Mary Law School in Virginia, Emily continued to serve as a coach for Columbia College’s Mock Trial team. While at William & Mary, Emily was a member of the highly selective National Trial Team, competing across the country, honing her trial skills, and preparing for a career in litigation.

Upon completion of her law degree, Emily returned to Kansas City and joined Legal Aid of Western Missouri in the Family Law Unit, where she worked with victims of domestic violence. She then joined RDM in 2024, where she focuses on products liability and other corporate defense litigation.

When she is not at the office, Emily likes to take walks with her husband and dog. She also enjoys listening to audiobooks, trying new recipes, and playing board games.
